ABS-CBN for NCA 2012’s Favorite TV Station

Kapamilya Network puts quality in every materials that they release and it fits perfectly to the needs of their audience. ABS-CBN became the leading TV Network that offers entertainment shows, in-depth reporting and documentaries, public service and also encourages their viewers to be part of news gathering and feedback through the handle of citizen journalism.

The Kapamilya Network has proven the quality in their drama series; they produced edgy and relevant stories that opened the mind of their viewers like the situation of rebels with Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, acceptance to mentally challenged individuals through Budoy, making maids and helpers as part of the family through Be Careful with my Heart, concerns on teenage pregnancies through Angelito Ang Batang Ama, making our faith stronger through May Bukas Pa, the struggles of orphans in Anghel na Walang Langit, and now surrogacy in Ina Kapatid Anak.

ABS-CBN also produces teleseryes that captures the heart of foreign viewers like Pangako Sa’yo, Tayong Dalawa, Super Inggo and many more. The Kapamilya network also brought the phenomenal Big Brother franchise in the Philippines along with other reality, game and drama shows with a Filipino approach.

Aside from entertainment, ABS-CBN produces documentaries and specials that give information to their viewers to supply to their needs for current news. During the past elections the Kapamilya Network launches the Halalan coverage and also did series of debate that helped the Filipino viewers know their candidates through their stand on social issues. Aside from that they also launched the Boto Mo iPatrol Mo which is also known as Bayan Mo iPatrol Mo during non-election season where they encourage their viewers to participate on citizen journalism though user-generated content where they submitted it through their mobile, email and social media accounts. Reports on anomalies where most of the politicians are involve became faster along with the response from respecting government agencies. ABS-CBN pioneered this idea where it opened the venue for an ordinary person can be a watch dog of his or her own community.
