The world-class heartland of wellness and recreation, The Village Sports Club, hosts this year’s nationwide swimming competition aptly billed 3rd Speedo G-League Short Course 3 on October 27-28.
Open to amateur and veteran swimmers, the 3rd Speedo G-League Short Course 3 convenes 600-700 swimmers from all over the country in different legs, age ranges from 13-18 years old. This series will give our competent athletes the opportunity to represent the Philippines in various international competitions. Proving to be the place where champion swimmers are picked to compete in various international competitions, participation in the Speedo G-League gives each participant FINA (Federation Internationale de Natation – world governing body for swimming) points. These FINA points are fundamental for any swimmer who aims to represent the country in global swimming championships.
Meeting the international standards for the competition’s venue is The Village Sports Club (VSC), an exclusive club inside BF Homes, Paranaque. This 1.8 hectare facility developed by PNC Garnet Property Holdings Corporation is strategically positioned for fitness enthusiasts based in the South. VSC boasts FIBA certified indoor Basketball Court, Badminton Courts that follow World Badminton Federation standards, the Tennis Courts similar to the US Men’s Clay Court Championship and the Zenith Wellness Gym which is fully equipped with Technogym branded machines.
VSC keeps true to its mission to provide leisure by extending its services with the creation of Phase 2. Phase 2 will house 8-lane Bowling Alley, the Grand Ballroom and function rooms, a Business Center/ Library Area and several themed restaurants like the Meridian Restaurant (fine-dining) and Circles & Squares Coffee Shop (with a great view of the pool).
