After the announcement of Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano as the X-Factor Philippines judges and mentors, ABS-CBN officially confirms the report that Charice will be joining the biggest reality singing show based from The X-Factor franchise of Simon Cowell.
Charice was a product of the Kapamilya Network’s Little Big Star where she ranks 2nd after Sam Concepcion in 2005. But her journey to stardom never stops there where all her videos uploaded in YouTube especially her version of Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing gained followers from different countries. From there she gained the title YouTube Sensation and later as the Filipino Singing Sensation. She guest in Oprah, Good Morning America and Ellen. She also appeared phenomenal musical teen drama entitled Glee where she played the role of Sunshine Corazon, an exchange student from the Philippines.
She already had duet with with world-renowned music icons Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, and Josh Groban. She was part of the David Foster and Friends concert tour by her mentor David Foster and just recently, she performed in various countries with her Infinity world tour. With her exposure with the international music scene, Charice has the x-factor in helping to mold and train the future singing sensation in her team that she will be mentoring as the show kicks off.
