After enduring extreme challenges in the San Vicente, Palawan for 36 days, Albert “Betong” Sumaya outwits and outplays Mara Yokohama and Stef Prescott and at the Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Showdown Finale. Betong earns votes 4 while Mara has 2 and Stef has 1. The winner of this season will be taking home Php 3M aside from having the titled of sole survivor for Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Showdown.
The selection of the sole survivor was based from the individual votes of the jury including Chuckie Dreyfus, Arthur Solinap, John Odulio, Gino Dela Peña, Arnold Aninion, Mary “Maey” Bautista and KC Montero. Including Mara, Stef and Bentong and the rest of the jury was part of the merge tribe of this season named Apolaki or after the Tagalog god of the sun and also the god of the warriors.
Before the merge there are two tribes; Bulan (Cuyonon and Visayan term for moon) and Tala (Tagalog term for star). Members who didn’t reach the emerge were Geneva Cruz, Alyssa Alano, Aifha Medina, Jackie Forster, Angelika “Angelicopter” Schmeing-Cruz, Ellen Adarna, Filo Cucueco, Isabel Granada, Carlo Gonzales and Maria Isabel “Maribel” Lopez.
In the Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Showdown it created to pair celebrities that have preexisting relationships such as co-workers, family, lovers, ex-lovers, and friends.
