Singer-songwriter Jace Roque opens up about healing and new beginnings in his latest track, “Pagbangon,” set for release on April 10 via Star Music on music streaming platforms.
Describing the song as deeply personal, Jace shared that “Pagbangon” reflects his journey of rediscovering himself after pain and loss. He explained that the track captures how he turned moments of despair into motivation to reignite his passion for music.
The pop single was inspired by the passing of his uncle, Boy Roque, who served as a mentor, father figure, and guide in his life and career. Instead of being consumed by grief, Jace said he chose to move forward with strength, carrying forward the lessons his uncle left behind.

“Pagbangon” was arranged, mixed, and mastered by Jace himself in collaboration with Jonathan Manalo, head of creatives, content, and operations at ABS-CBN Music, who also served as the song’s producer.
Amid today’s global challenges, Jace hopes the song serves as an uplifting anthem that encourages listeners to rise above difficult times.
Coming from a musically inclined family that includes Gino Padilla and Luke Mejares, Jace continues to build his own path in the industry. He previously released the single “Casual” in 2023, followed by his album “Paradiso” in 2024.
“Pagbangon” invites listeners to embrace hope and renewal when it releases on April 10.
