The MICHELIN Guide proudly announces the launch of its inaugural Global MICHELIN Keys Selection, celebrating 2,457 exceptional hotels around the world for delivering truly outstanding stays.
Following the successful introduction of the MICHELIN Key distinctions across 15 destinations last year, MICHELIN Guide Inspectors have now assessed more than 7,000 recommended hotels worldwide to identify the most remarkable among them. These top properties are honored with One, Two, or Three MICHELIN Keys, a new global benchmark for excellence in hospitality. The distinctions reflect the Guide’s meticulous standards and highlight hotels that excel in design, service, and location.
According to Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of The MICHELIN Guide, the launch of the MICHELIN Keys represents the brand’s continued evolution: “One hundred twenty-five years after its creation as a guide for discerning travelers, the MICHELIN Guide is once again redefining excellence, this time in the world of hospitality. Just as MICHELIN Stars celebrate the finest restaurants, MICHELIN Keys now honor hotels that offer extraordinary stays, where design, service, and setting combine to create unforgettable experiences.”
All selected properties are bookable through the MICHELIN Guide’s website and mobile app, which also offer concierge services and exclusive VIP benefits.

The honored properties include:
- Fairmont Makati and Raffles Makati, Manila – Urban luxury at its finest, offering elegant interiors, impeccable service, and proximity to world-class shopping and dining.
- Amanpulo, Pamalican Island – A serene private paradise featuring pristine beaches, secluded villas, and holistic wellness experiences.

The MICHELIN Keys: A new global standard
The MICHELIN Key distinctions are based on five universal criteria, assessing the overall hospitality experience rather than specific amenities.
- One MICHELIN Key: A memorable stay defined by character and exceptional service.
- Two MICHELIN Keys: An exceptional stay offering unique charm and a strong sense of place.
- Three MICHELIN Keys: An extraordinary stay representing the pinnacle of comfort, service, and design.
Recognizing excellence beyond boundaries
In addition to the MICHELIN Keys, the MICHELIN Guide presents four Special Awards celebrating excellence in specific areas of hospitality:
- MICHELIN Architecture & Design Award: Atlantis The Royal (Dubai, UAE)
- MICHELIN Wellness Award: Bürgenstock Resort (Switzerland)
- MICHELIN Local Gateway Award: La Fiermontina Ocean (Larache, Morocco)
- MICHELIN Opening of the Year Award (supported by United Overseas Bank, UOB): The Burman Hotel (Tallinn, Estonia)
