Bitoy revealed that he first noticed the resemblance himself while watching a Senate hearing and joked that with just a little effort, he could already mimic the person. He admitted he initially didn’t plan to do an impression, but the overwhelming number of messages from netizens convinced him to pitch the idea to the Bubble Gang creative team, who coincidentally were thinking the same thing.
When the teaser for the sketch dropped last September 8, it immediately went viral. Bitoy said he was surprised by the reaction, noting that people were already excited even before seeing his face in the clip. He promised that viewers would enjoy the full parody even more when it airs this Sunday.
