Prime Video’s hit spin-off Gen V returns for its highly anticipated second season on September 17, 2025, launching with three episodes followed by weekly releases.
Set against the morally twisted backdrop of Godolkin University, Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the explosive Season 1 finale. With Homelander’s grip on America tightening, the students face escalating dangers, a secret program that could upend their world, and the arrival of Cipher, the enigmatic new Dean of Godolkin University played by Hamish Linklater, who sets the tone for a darker, more dangerous semester.

Jaz Sinclair, who reprises her role as Marie Moreau, says she was excited to explore the next stage of Marie’s journey, describing the new season as “foreboding and grim,” which gave her “so much to play with.” She adds that what she loves most about Marie is her messy, human side, the way she fumbles, makes mistakes, and tries to turn guilt into something good.
Lizze Broadway’s Emma Meyer also undergoes a powerful transformation this season. Broadway says Emma has entered her “post-shrink-show, post-apocalypse era,” bringing new grit and bite while shedding her role as everyone’s emotional dumping ground. She reflects that grief has changed both Emma and herself, but through that pain, Emma discovers a fierce, unapologetic strength and finally begins to own her space.
With higher stakes, deeper character arcs, and the series’ trademark mix of action and biting satire, Gen V Season 2 promises to deliver a darker, bloodier, and more unhinged chapter of The Boys universe when it premieres globally on Prime Video this September.
