DJI has officially introduced the Osmo 360, its first 360° camera capable of delivering native 8K video with stunning clarity and cinematic range. Designed for creators, adventurers, and storytellers, Osmo 360 sets a new benchmark for immersive content creation with professional-grade imaging and unrivaled versatility.
At its core, the Osmo 360 can shoot 8K/50fps 360° video with large 2.4μm pixels and 13.5 stops of dynamic range, ensuring every scene is captured in sharp detail, even in challenging conditions such as city nights or sunrise and sunset. For action-packed moments, the camera delivers 4K/100fps 360° video with up to 4x slow motion, turning fleeting seconds into cinematic experiences.

Thanks to its square sensor design, the camera unlocks dual 1-inch 360° image fields with a f/1.9 aperture that dramatically improves light intake. In low-light environments, SuperNight mode reveals vivid details, while still photography reaches new heights with 120MP (16K) ultra-clear 360° photos. All video formats support 10-bit color depth, and with D-Log M mode, creators gain greater flexibility in post-production to fine-tune highlights and shadows.
The Osmo 360 also brings freedom in perspective. With the Invisible Selfie Stick, users can capture sweeping third-person shots without extra editing. Selfie Mode supports wide-angle videos at 4K/60fps, 3K/120fps, or 2K/240fps, perfect for smooth, high-frame-rate recordings or dramatic slow motion. For added versatility, it switches into single-lens mode, offering 5K/60fps flat videos with a 155° field of view, or up to 170° in Boost Mode with 4K/120fps. Creators can even swap between front and rear lenses mid-recording, making vlogging seamless and uninterrupted.

Stabilization is a strong point, with HorizonSteady ensuring level horizons across full 360° rotations, and RockSteady 3.0 keeping single-lens footage smooth while retaining dynamic motion. The camera is also built tough, recording for over 90 minutes in -20° C (-4° F) and boasting IP68 waterproofing for underwater shooting up to 10 meters without a case.
Osmo 360 enhances audio as well, directly connecting to two DJI microphone transmitters for studio-quality dual-channel sound. Built-in mic audio backup preserves ambient sounds, adding a layer of realism to every recording. Power is just as versatile, with built-in charging contacts that connect to the Battery Extension Rod, extending shooting time by up to 180 minutes while also providing quick access to controls.
How about editing and uploading? The DJI Osmo lineup does not include a dedicated dual-lens 360 camera like Insta360, but it can still create immersive 360-style content through panoramic modes and wide-angle shooting. On the Osmo Pocket series, users can enable panorama mode, where the gimbal rotates automatically to capture multiple shots and then stitches them into a near-360 view. The Osmo Action cameras can also mimic 360 effects using ultra-wide fields of view and panoramic stitching through the DJI Mimo app. Editing is largely “plug and play”: after capturing footage, the DJI Mimo app stitches the files together and allows quick adjustments such as reframing, applying the “tiny planet” effect, or sharing directly to social platforms. For more advanced editing, creators can transfer the stitched media to desktop software like Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, where VR and 360 tools provide greater control. It also works on mobile editing app to make easy uploading on social media accounts.

Lastly, in terms of accessories for better video content, the DJI Osmo 360 supports a wide range of official and third-party accessories that enhance both portability and creative shooting. DJI itself offers two main kits: the Standard Combo, which includes an Extreme Battery Plus, a USB-C charging cable, a rubber lens protector, and a protective pouch, and the Adventure Combo, which adds two extra batteries, a multifunctional battery case, an adjustable quick-release adapter mount, and an invisible selfie stick. Independent reviewers also highlight accessories like the Battery Extension Rod, which can extend 8K recording time by about three hours, as well as transparent lens protectors and long threaded selfie sticks that reach over eight feet.
Third-party companies such as PGYTECH provide an even broader set of mounting options, including neck mounts, handlebar and rearview mirror mounts, suction cup systems, a 96 cm extendable selfie stick, and the portable MantisPod Z tripod, all designed for action and vehicle shooting. For everyday mobility and hands-free capture, locally available mounts like the 360-degree wrist strap with a panoramic ball-joint and the backpack strap mount are especially useful, making it easy to record immersive POV footage while hiking, climbing, or cycling.
With its blend of 8K 360° capabilities, advanced stabilization, adaptive shooting modes, and rugged design, Osmo 360 goes beyond being just another action camera. It is DJI’s bold leap into the future of immersive storytelling, giving creators the ability to capture every angle, every moment, and every detail like never before. It is now available in their experience stores located in SM Malls and Ayala Malls nationwide and authorized resellers. Price starts at Php 24,490.00 for the standard package that only comes with the device, battery, pouch and rubber protector.
