GMA Network is set to deliver another emotionally compelling series with its newest Afternoon Prime drama, “Cruz vs. Cruz”, premiering on July 21, 2025 at 3:20 PM. This gripping family drama promises to captivate viewers with its honest exploration of love, betrayal, and reconciliation.
At the heart of “Cruz vs. Cruz” is Manuel Cruz, portrayed by acclaimed actor Neil Ryan Sese. Once a dedicated Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), Manuel left his family behind in the Philippines to provide a better life for them. After two decades and a life-threatening experience abroad, he finally comes home but not to the warm welcome he imagined.
Instead, Manuel faces the emotional aftermath of his long absence. His children, having grown up without him, harbor deep resentment and unanswered questions. To complicate matters further, Manuel has built a new life overseas with another partner. As his two families collide, “Cruz vs. Cruz” unravels a web of broken trust, divided loyalties, and the aching search for healing.
Leading the cast are Vina Morales and Gladys Reyes, two of Philippine television’s most respected dramatic actresses. Morales plays the scorned woman who raised her children alone, while Reyes portrays the new partner determined to protect the life she’s built. Their on-screen chemistry and tension have already created a buzz online, especially after a promotional video of their confrontation went viral, convincing some viewers it was a real-life altercation.
Joining them are Kristoffer Martin, Pancho Magno, Lexi Gonzales, Gilleth Sandico, Elijah Alejo, Caprice Cayetano, and Cassy Lavarias, who complete the ensemble cast bringing the Cruz family’s complicated story to life.
