“Idol Philippines” season 2 standout Kice returns to the spotlight with his latest self-written single “Tayo,” a heartfelt anthem for anyone who has ever loved deeply but silently from afar.
“Maraming makakarelate, yung mga nagmahal nang tahimik, naghintay, o piniling manahimik kasi yun lang ang kaya,” Kice shared. “Sometimes we don’t get the chance to express how we feel, so we carry it in silence, in songs, in the moments we replay in our minds. ‘Tayo’ is for everyone who’s ever loved someone from a distance.”
Rooted in vulnerability, Kice’s songwriting draws strength from sincerity.
“My songwriting is rooted in honesty. I write what I feel, raw, quiet at times, but always real. I just want people to feel seen, especially those who love in silence or hold on to feelings they can’t fully explain,” he explained.
Produced by StarPop’s Roque “Rox” Santos and Gab Tagadtad, “Tayo” is a romantic OPM track that captures the essence of longing and unspoken affection.
Kice first gained national attention after placing third in the second season of Idol Philippines. In 2023, he released his debut singles “Lose Control” and “Only Girl”, and lent his voice to the Dirty Linen soundtrack with “Simulan.” He followed up with a heartfelt confession in 2024 through “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.”
With “Tayo,” Kice continues to carve out a space for quiet, honest love in today’s music landscape.
