LG Electronics (LG) continues to lead the global OLED TV market, securing over 52.4% market share in 2024 and maintaining its position for the 12th consecutive year. The company has consistently set the standard for premium TV technology, enhancing the viewing experience with perfect black levels, brighter displays, and AI-powered personalization, while staying true to the core strengths of OLED technology.

According to market research firm Omdia, LG led global OLED TV shipments in 2024, delivering 3.18 million OLED units. Fourth-quarter shipments alone exceeded 1.1 million units, underscoring the brand’s ability to innovate and meet evolving consumer needs.

OLED TVs made up 45% of the premium TV market in 2023, priced at USD 1,500 and above, showing an 8.5 percentage point increase from the previous year. With market share set to surpass 50% in 2024, LG is focused on driving continuous innovation in the OLED space.

As demand for larger screens grows, LG continues to lead the market with ultra-large OLED TVs. In 2024, LG captured 57.5% of the OLED market for TVs 75 inches and larger, including a range of 77-inch, 83-inch, 88-inch, and 97-inch models.

Building on over a decade of OLED innovation, LG is introducing new OLED models featuring wireless transmission of audio and visual content up to 4K 144Hz with no latency, AI-powered personalization through webOS, and advanced picture quality for an extraordinary viewing experience.

Global TV shipments rebounded in 2024, reaching 208.8 million units, with OLED TV shipments increasing 8% year-on-year to 6.07 million units. LG’s total TV shipments, including both OLED and LCD models, reached 22.6 million units, representing 16.1% of global TV market revenue.

It’s not just about having the latest technology. It’s about the experiences that technology creates and how it impacts our lives.
