GMA Network once again proved its leadership in news and public affairs as “Eleksyon 2025: The GMA Integrated News Coverage” emerged as the most watched and followed election coverage on both television and digital platforms.
According to Nielsen Philippines’ TV Audience Measurement data from May 12 to 13, the special coverage aired on GMA and GTV garnered a combined people rating of 4.2 percent in Urban Philippines. This figure was far ahead of rival broadcasts. In comparison, TV5/RPTV’s Bilang Pilipino 2025 only posted 0.8 percent, while A2Z/Kapamilya Channel’s Halalan 2025 trailed at 0.3 percent.
The program also reached an impressive 23.5 million viewers across the Total Philippines, affirming GMA’s nationwide reach and influence.
GMA reigned supreme during primetime on Election Day, May 12. Its flagship newscast 24 Oras earned a combined (GMA and GTV) people rating of 12.9 percent in Urban Philippines. In contrast, TV Patrol (A2Z and Kapamilya Channel) rated 2.7 percent, while Frontline Pilipinas (TV5/RPTV) registered 2.0 percent. Other related election broadcasts, such as Bilang Pilipino 2025 and Halalan 2025, saw marginal ratings ranging from 0.1 to 2.6 percent. Entertainment shows on competing networks such as FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (8.6 percent), Incognito (6.6 percent), and Saving Grace (3.2 percent) also lagged behind.
Online, GMA Integrated News was also the top choice for netizens.
Based on data from global video analytics platform Tubular Labs, the livestream of Eleksyon 2025: The GMA Integrated News Coverage amassed a total of 112 million views across Facebook (58.4M), YouTube (22.4M), and TikTok (31.2M). This surpassed ABS-CBN News’ 97.3 million views and News5’s 72 million.
On radio, GMA extended its reach through Eleksyon 2025, Super Radyo DZBB Special Coverage, which aired from May 11 to 13 on Super Radyo DZBB 594 and 20 Super Radyo and Barangay FM stations nationwide.
For Filipinos overseas, comprehensive election updates were delivered via GMA’s international channels including GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV, and GMA News TV.
