OHA Studios, a third-year AB Communication block from the University of Santo Tomas, is set to premiere Roars to Riches, a student-produced business show on April 28 at 3:00 PM via the UST Tiger TV Facebook page. Created as part of their TV Production class, the show highlights inspiring student entrepreneurs and delivers practical financial insights for the Thomasian community and beyond.
Taking cues from Shark Tank, the show features student entrepreneurs from the College of Commerce and Business Administration pitching their businesses to The Tigers, a panel of alumni, professors, and industry professionals. The goal: to turn ideas into action and empower Thomasians to pursue their ventures with confidence.
“Roars to Riches is more than just a show,” said Executive Producer Nadine Hernandez. “It’s proof that young people can spark meaningful change when given the platform and support.”
Combining real-world pressure with creative storytelling, the show offers hands-on experience in pitching, planning, and decision-making. Executive Producer Justine Ariola describes it as “a reality-like concept that blends strategy, innovation, and high-stakes negotiation.”
Beyond entertainment, the show also aims to contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 9, promoting innovation and sustainable industry. It fosters leadership, collaboration, and critical thinking—while helping students grow as future changemakers in both business and society.
Running from April 28 to May 13, Roars to Riches features three episodes filled with bold ideas, passionate pitches, and the fearless spirit of Thomasian entrepreneurship.
