As part of GMA Network’s 2025 opening salvo, the GMA Entertainment Group kicks off the year with Mga Batang Riles, led by Miguel Tanfelix, Kokoy de Santos, Bruce Roeland, Raheel Bhyia, and Antonio Vinzon. Directed by Richard Arellano, with the support of associate director Ralfh Manuel Malabunga.
Set in Sitio Liwanag, Mga Batang Riles follows the story of a group of young men who are wrongfully accused of a crime and sent to a juvenile center. While confined, they endure hardships, protect themselves, and devise a way to escape. Determined to uncover the real culprit and prove their innocence, they also strive to save their impoverished neighborhood from corruption and injustice.
Miguel Tanfelix stars as Kidlat, the leader of the group, while Kokoy de Santos portrays Kulot. Bruce Roeland, Raheel Bhyia, and Antonio Vinzon play the roles of Mathos, Sig, and Dagul, respectively.
GMA Network recently released the teaser for the series, offering a glimpse into Kidlat’s story, with Diana Zubiri playing his mother.
Meanwhile, the show also features an impressive ensemble cast, including Jay Manalo, Desiree del Valle, Ms. Eva Darren, Jeric Raval, Roderick Paulate, Ynez Veneracion, and Mr. Ronnie Ricketts. The series also introduces trending social media influencers and content creators Spencer Serafica and Jomar Yee.
Mga Batang Riles premieres on GMA Prime this January 2025.
