Marvel Studios released the first teaser trailer for The Marvels on April 11, 2023 featuring Brie Larson (Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel), Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau), Iman Vellani (Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel), and Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) newcomers Zawe Ashton and Park Seo Joon.

Zawe Ashton will be playing the character of Dar-Benn, a Kree warrior who wields an Accuser’s hammer. Kree is a militaristic race of mostly blue-skinned humanoids from the planet Hala that was first introduced in the TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and had a movie debut in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Meanwhile, there is no information yet in the character that the Korean actor Park Seo-joon is playing in the sci-fi film. But in the trailer, Seo Joon gives the impression that he is a leader of a tribe. In some reports, he will be Carol Danvers’ secret husband from her time between Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame. In Seo Joon’s Wikipedia it was mentioned that his role will be Prince Yan from planet of Aladna. Male inhabitants of Aladna can’t pick whom they will marry, and everyone in the planet speaks in rhymes.

Park Seo Joon is one of the most popular Korean drama actors and known worldwide with his series including Kill Me, Heal Me (2015), She Was Pretty (2015), Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016–2017), Fight for My Way (2017), What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim (2018), and Itaewon Class (2020).

The Marvels will be hitting Philippine cinemas on November 8, 2023. US and other regions will be on November 10, 2023.
