Daniel Padilla is back after his successful 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Kun Maupay Man It Panahon (Whether the Weather is Fine), with Charo Santos, and the 2 Good 2 Be True series with Kathryn Bernardo.

The first project is The Guest, which will be directed by Jerold Tarrog and written by Patrick Valencia. He will be working with John Arcilla, the winner of the 78th Venice International Film Festival Volpi Cup for Best Actor. The Guest is a dark psychological thriller produced by Black Sheep Productions. Daniel has already read the story and cannot hide his excitement. According to the production team, filming for the project will begin this year but it will not be released until 2024.

The second movie is ‘Nang Mapagod si Kamatayan,’ directed by Dan Villegas, written by Carmi Raymundo, and based on the novel by the National Artist for Film and Broadcast, Ricky Lee. Zanjoe Marudo will also star in the film. The story is a lighthearted comedy that explores the deeper meaning of life, friendship, and death. The film will be produced by Star Cinema and released this year. Zanjoe revealed that ‘Nang Mapagod si Kamatayan’ is his comeback movie with Star Cinema after ‘You Got Me!’

During Kathryn Bernado’s new movie announcement, it was revealed that she will be working on a project with Daniel and director Cathy Garcia-Molina, which will be released next year.

Black Sheep Productions produced Kun Maupay Man It Panahon (Whether the Weather is Fine), which earned Daniel a Special Jury Award at the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival. He also won Best Actor Awards for his Star Cinema movies The Hows of Us in the 2019 Luna Awards and Barcelona: A Love Untold in the 2017 Famas Awards.
