Mark Oblea renews his contract with Universal Records Philippines, just in time for his 27th birthday.
Along with the talented singer, the virtual contract signing held last January 18, 2022 was joined by Cornerstone Entertainment Inc. Vice President Jeff M. Vadillo, Cornerstone Entertainment Inc. AVP for Music / Senior Artist Handler Caress A. Caballero, Universal Records Marketing Head Jhofer Eleria, and Universal Records Managing Director Kathleen Dy-Go.
After the contract signing session, everyone present at the private Zoom meeting sang “Happy Birthday” to Mark. He also blew out the candle on his birthday cake, much to the delight of his trusted major record label and his beloved artist management.
With over 95,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Mark Oblea proves that he’s ready to thrive further on the local music scene. His latest release, a sweetly sung version of “Tulog Na” by Sugarfree now has 258,000 streams on the said streaming platform and counting. He also dropped his album Panimula back in 2020 under Universal Records which features “Tabi”, now with over 4.5 million streams.
This time around, Mark is looking forward to a more prolific and mutually beneficial partnership with UR. Likewise, his followers should expect greater releases from him this 2022.
