Walt Disney releases teaser of the live-action re-telling of Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson

Counting down to its official release on 2017, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International releases the teaser of the live-action re-telling of Beauty and the Beast. The movie was base from the 1991 animated film with the same title that captured millions of children who are now adults anticipating the movie with Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast.

Joining Watson and Stevens in the movie are Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Josh Gad as Lefou, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe,  Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Emma Thompson as  Mrs. Potts. The film promises to stay true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs while they refashion the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience.

“Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

The film is directed by Bill Condon and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International through Columbia Pictures.
