Earlier today (August 13), Robin Padilla confirmed that his wife Mariel Rodriguez suffered miscarriage last August 12 at 6:30PM. The couple is expecting triplets after Robin announced that Mariel was pregnant last August 1 twins and later with triplets on Aug.10. Betchay Vidanes manager of Robin, confirmed the sad news, manager of Robin and the statement posted in the official Instagram of Vidanes Celebrity Marketing (@vidanes_cm).
The statement says:
“To our dear public,
“We have received a confirmation message from Mr. Robin Padilla regarding the status of their pregnancy.
“It is with such a heavy heart that we are informing you that Ms. Mariel has suffered a miscarriage on August 12, 2015 at 6:30pm and the couple have lost the triplet pregancy.
“On behalf of the couple we would like to ask for you prayers and utmost consideration for the couple’s privacy and comfort.
“May the Creator bless them with hope, mercy and joy.”
This was Mariel’s second miscarriage; she lost her eight-week old baby last March 2015. Robin cancelled his part in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2015 entry Nilalang with Japanese actress Maria Ozawa to focus on his wife. Even Ozawa called him unprofessional for cancelling 10 days before the shooting, Robin just asked for forgiveness and understanding to her and his supporters.
