Tagged as “Perfect Together: Paul and Toni’s Wedding Special”, the wedding coverage of the Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga and director Paul Soriano will be airing on ABS-CBN on June 13 after Maalaala Mo Kaya. The highly anticipated union of Toni and Paul is expected to be star-studded. Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, who played a pivotal role in Toni and Paul’s meeting, will serenade the couple and the guests with romantic love songs, while people’s champ Manny Pacquiao and Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada are included in the principal sponsors.
Meanwhile, Toni’s younger sister Alex, who organized a surprise bridal shower for her, will be the maid of honor.
Toni will walk down the aisle wearing a Vera Wang bridal gown, which she went to Hong Kong for twice for her fitting, while Paul will be a dashing groom in his Hugo boss suit.
Toni and Paul also enlisted the help of Rita Neri, noted wedding coordinator to the stars. Neri is the wedding coordinator behind the celebrity weddings of Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo in Batangas and Charlene Gonzales and Aga Muchlach in Baguio.
Toni and Paul first met at Gary V’s 23rd anniversary concert. Eight months since they first met, Paul began visiting Toni at the set of “Pinoy Big Brother” and “Wazzup, Wazzup” which then led to his visits at the Gonzaga household in Rizal. After nine months of courtship, Paul officially became Toni’s first boyfriend.
For eight years, the couple has managed to sustain their relationship despite busy schedules and strict rules enforced by Toni’s parents. Toni and Paul’s work tandem is successful as well. Paul directed two of Toni’s music videos.
It was only in February this year that Toni and Paul announced their engagement via the now defunct TV show, “The Buzz.”
