From Bacolod, the 13 years old Ailah Antopina is the first ever Muslim housemate to enter the Pinoy Big Brother house since it was opened 10 years ago. Tagged as the Faithful Daughter of Bacolod, Ailah was introduced in TV Patrol last June 17 and had her interview with Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda in the evening talkshow Aquino & Abunda Tonight. She didn’t have a teaser on It’s Showtime unlike the other 3 housemates including Ryan James Bacalla of Cebu, Bailey May of United Kingdom and Jimboy Martin of Nueva Vizcaya.
She was born and raised in a family that practices Islam. Her mother is a housewife and father works as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Saudi Arabia. Her main objective to join Pinoy Big Brother 737 she wanted her father to go home at the same time she wanted to show everyone what’s to know the tradition and beliefs of Muslim like her. Her dream is to become a pastry in the future. With observance of Ramadan, Ailah is not yet required to follow the tradition because she’s not yet 18 years old with the Islamic faith requires.
Ailah will be joining her fellow teen housemates who will be entering the house on June 20.

Assalamualaykum. Peace be with you.. It’s nice to know she have a good intention in joining PBB but i just wanna clarify something the age requirement in practicing the islamic religion is not 18 but as young as 7. I do hope she observe her limitations and fast this month of ramadhan.
actually po mali po ang nakalagay sa article na 18 years old pa ang require sa isang muslim na mag-fasting.
sa islamic tradition, ang isang muslim ay required ng magfasting pag naging “baligh” o nasa stage na ng puberty.
