The phenomenal love team of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla popularly known as KathNiel is officially returning to Primetime Bida timeslot of ABS-CBN starting May 25 for the modern storytelling of the love story of Yna Macaspac and Angelo Buenavista in Pangako Sa’Yo. Previously portrayed by Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales in 2000, KathNiel will be giving a new life to the characters with a modern touch together with the iconic characters of Amor Powers and Claudia Buenavista now played by Jodi Sta. Maria and Angelica Panganiban. Pangako Sa’Yo will be replacing the hit teleserye Forevermore of Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano now on its finale week in the said timeslot after Nathaniel.
Directing the 2015 remake of the iconic teleserye that reached different countries are Rory Quintos, Dado Lumibao, and Olivia Lamasan. With a new premise where Amor, a cook who fell in love with Eduardo (Ian Veneracion) gives her inspiration in life to do her passion despite of the disapproval of Eduardo’s mother to her. And the 2015 version gives a backstory of Claudia where viewers will finally understand her character and where she came from. The backstory was partly given in the first trailer of Pangako Sa’Yo that was released few weeks ago.
After many years, fate and love will test Eduardo and Claudia’ son Angelo as he faces the same fate as his father when he meets and falls in love with a simple young woman named Yna.
Pangako Sa’Yo marks the 4th on-screen tandem of Kathryn and Daniel on television that started in Growing Up, followed by Princess and I and Got To Believe.
