After Senator Nancy Binay last 2014 State of the Nation Address, netizens are now playful with the dress used by Binibining Pilipinas-Universe candidate Mary Jean Lastimosa during the National Costume of the Miss Universe pre-pageant last Wednesday evening (Thursday morning Manila time) at the Florida International University (FIU) Arena at the Doral, Miami, Florida in USA.
With the creative minds of the Filipino netizens they created memes of MJ Lastimosa’s dress and compare it with cake and other desserts.
Netizens even call it the cake for wedding of the century pertaining to the Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera wedding last December 30, 2014.
The national costume that MJ wore during the pre-pageant was created by a Columbian fashion designer named Alfredo Barraza. But still even the netizens made fun of her during that round; they are all cheering for MJ as she walks in the FIU Arena with confidence and beautiful smile. Boy Abunda in Aquino & Abunda describe her last January 22 as a candidate having fun and enjoying what she is doing in the competition and has the possibility to bring home the crown.
MJ is one of the 88 candidates vying for the crown. Among the strong contenders include Elvira Devinamira of Indonesia, Josselyn Garciglia of Mexico, Gabriela Berrios of Puerto Rico, Pimbongkod Chankaew of Thailand, Nia Sanchez of USA and Migbelis Lynette Castellanos of Venezuela.
Judges for this year’s Miss Universe include eight-division boxing champion and Filipino congressman Manny Pacquaio, TV host and shoe designer Kristin Cavallari, Spanish TV and Film Actor William Levy, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ actress Lisa Vanderpump, and fashion journalist and MTV host Louise Roe.
