Paulina Vega of Colombia will be the first person to wear the new Miss Universe crown after she was announced as the winner of the beauty pageant and succeeds Grabriela Isler who was the Miss Universe 2013. The coronation night happened at the Florida International University Arena in Doral Miami Florida USA and 88 contestants all over the world competed for the title.
Meanwhile, Miss USA Nia Sanchez was the 1st Runner Up followed by Diana Harkusha of Ukraine as 2nd Runner Up. Next are Miss Netherland Yasmin Verheijen and Miss Jamaica Kaci Fennel rank 3rd and 4th Runner Ups respectively.
Other prizes include National Costume goes to Elvira Devinamira of Indonesia, Miss Congeniality is Queen Celestine of Nigeria and Miss Photogenic is Gabriela Berrios of Puerto Rico.
Philippines’ Mary Jean Lastimosa or MJ only made it to the top 10 of the competition and didn’t made it in the top 5 and question and answer portion of Miss Universe.
