As we count down to Miss Universe pageant on January 25 (January 26 in Manila) that will take place in Florida International University located in Doral-Miami in Florida, USA with our very own MJ Lastimosa competing for the title, let’s go back to Miss Universe 1994 where it happened in the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
It was a parade of beautiful candidates from different countries including our representative Charlene Gonzales. Aside from Charlene, Dayanara Torres who was the Miss Universe 1993 from Puerto Rico and Michelle Van Eimeren of Australia became an instant celebrity after the pageant. And we must not forget the opening song of the event entitled “Mabuhay” that all the candidates sing.
