PETA’s Arbol de Fuego is a reimagining of Anton Chekov’s classic comedy the Cherry Orchard which was made possible by multi-awarded winning writer Rody Vera and world renowned New York based designer and director Loy Arenas.

Cherie Gil will be playing the role of Enriquetta Jardeleza-Sofronio a middle-aged matriarch who comes home from Madrid being forced to sell their estate to pay off the family’s huge debts. But still she wanted to be part of the altas who wanted to be recognized in their town as rich who loves throwing lavish parties. As she enjoys the glass of wine and chit-chatting with her rich friends she reminisces their luxurious past amidst their depleting wealth.
