One of the most loved comic book characters created by Pablo S. Gomez is Inday Bote that first played by the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano for its 1985 film adaptation and later in 2006 it was featured in ABS-CBN’s Komiks Presents program that aired every Saturday evening and it was played by the Soap Opera Queen Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo. Inday Bote was also portrayed by Melai Cantiveros-Francisco in the 2010 airing of Wansapanataym. And this year, Inday Bote will return in the Kapamilya network as a full-length series, which will be played by Alex Gonzaga who just came from the success of Pure Love that became one of the hit TV series of 2014.
Joining Alex in the modernized storytelling of Inday Bote are Matteo Guidicelli and Kean Cipriano. It’s easy for Alex to work with her two leading men because for Matteo they already worked in the defunct teen-oriented sitcom Let’s Go and for Kean they work together in Banana Split and in the film The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin that became a box office hit in the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Inday Bote follows the story of Inday who need to work by pushing her card everyday and collects metal scraps, old newspapers and bottles to earn for a living for herself and her young brother. She found a bottle where four good dwarves live and help her to make her life easy. One of the dwarves included in the story is played by Nino Muhlach’s son named Alonzo who had his debut in My Big Bossing movie that was included in the 2014 MMFF with Ryzza Mae Dizon.
