Hotline numbers and hashtags to remember in connection with the Typhoon Ruby (Hagupit)

As Typhoon Ruby (Hagupit) continue to bring strong wind and heavy rain in major regions of Luzon and Visayas, it is very important to remember the important numbers that will serve as our help-line when things became tougher to us during typhoon and other calamities. Here are the important hotlines to remember and I suggest we should keep a copy on our phonebook or contact for future needs.

Meanwhile for Netizen there are hashtag hotlines that can use on Twitter which was closely monitored by the NGOs and the government. It is also way to share updates on certain areas on their current situation.

#RESCUEPH – For those who need to be rescued it should be accompanied with address and landmark

#RELIEFPH – For information of donation drop off and volunteer information

#SAFENOW – To report that the person who call for rescue is already in the safe area or evacuation

#FLOODPH – To report location with flood

#WALANGPASOK – To inform students that classes are suspended in their areas. Sometimes it also use to some companies to inform that non-operational employees

#TRAFFICPH – To report or inform others on the current traffic situation in their area

#(Local name of typhoon)PH – to give update on the current status of the typhoon which now it’s #RUBYPH.

Hotline numbers and hashtags should be used properly so that the government and NGOs can track reports properly for their proper execution on their operations during typhoon and other calamities.
