Lea Salonga is the most open and appreciative coach in The Voice of the Philippines. We saw how she dance, clap and sing with the contestants during the blind audition from the season 1, The Voice Kids and now on season 2. She will say what’s on her mind which made her one of the most loved coaches in The Voice. And last November 16 episode of the Blind Audition where the Youtube singer Alisah Bonaobra auditioned and performed the song Domino, Lea immediately turned her chair together with Apl.de.Ap and Sarah Geronimo.
She started convincing Alisah to join her team. She said that she regret not turning her chair to Darren Espanto during The Voice Kids which became part of Sarah’s team and ended runner-up in the finals next to the Lyca Gairanod who was the champion also under Sarah. Lea said that if ever she will hear the song Domino in the blind audition she will immediately turn her chair so that there will be no regrets in her side.
Lea also praised Alisah’s performance which she find it remarkable in the early age of 19. But in the end the 19 year-old sidewalk food vendor whose her video in a mall singing went viral on Youtube selected Apl instead of Sarah and Lea.
