Disney picks Sarah Geronimo to sing The Glow

On December 6 in Disney Channel, the music video of The Glow will be airing featuring the Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo singing the song. The song was originally performed by Shannon Saunders during the promotional event when Rapunzel was inducted as the 10th Disney Princess last October 2, 2011 at the Kensington Palace in London. Tangled was the animated film that Disney premiered in the big screen featuring the adventure of Rapunzel and it was shown in 2010.

Sarah was selected by Disney to sing The Glow that became the anthem for the Disney Princesses to highlight their journey in their respective movies. The supporters of Sarah celebrated after the teaser of Disney Channel aired showing Sarah promoting the telecast of the music video on Dec. 6. This was the second time that a Filipina sing a Disney theme song after Lea Salonga her fellow coach in The Voice of The Philippines became the most prominent personality to sing most of the theme songs including Mulan and Aladdin.

Aside from Sarah, Kim Chiu was picked by Disney to be in their calendar as Mulan which the pictorial was did few months ago and will be released very soon.

Aside from Mulan and Rapunzel other Disney Princesses include Snow White (Snow White and the 7 Dwarves), Cinderella, Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Ariel (Little Mermaid), Pocahontas, Jasmine (Aladdin), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), and Tiana (Princess and the Frog). Merida was the 11th princess from the movie Brave.
