After his camp issued an official statement regarding the controversy connected to Bench The Naked Truth, Coco Martin now face the media together with legal counsel Atty. Lorna Kapunan and representatives from various human rights and women’s groups. Coco humbly accepts responsibility for his actions in the fashion show which according to him the incident was not just a normal issue about woman on the leash that was shown on the event last month. He said that he might offended the women for what he did in the show and that’s why he personally apologize for what happen. In the report of Push.com.ph Coco said that he don’t have the opportunity to voice his views about the scene because the rehearsal was fast with the foreigners with that kind of set up he don’t have the chance to say it.
Coco mentioned that after what happened he will now be more responsible in choosing projects and things that can influence the society which he belongs with. He confirmed that he was sad with the comments of netizens on Twitter and Facebook about the incident but still he said his sorry to those offended.
Meanwhile, Coco confirmed with the controversy where he was dragged into it cost him an endorsement. But he didn’t confirmed what brand it was and according to him that he and his manager Biboy Arboleda are going to check on legal counsel and out the issue to rest. And in regards with the Bench endorsement, Coco said that his relationship with the company of Bench and its manager Ben Chan remains intact and going strong for more than 6 years already.
