Korina Sanchez and Kris Aquino accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

It is officially in the Philippines, the ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) Ice Bucket Challenge now reached the Philippine soil after Lea Salonga and Manny Pacquiao were nominated to do the challenge. Salonga did the challenge also the 2NE1 member Sandara Park (Dara) few days ago. This time two of the influential women in the media Kris Aquino and Korina Sanchez accepted the challenge to do the Ice Bucket Challenge and they aired in their show respectively to further reach out to their viewers the case of ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease which is a neurodegenerative disease with various causes.

Kris in The Buzz with the help of her co-host Toni Gonzaga and son Bimby to do the challenge live on national TV. The challenge was given to her by Derek Ramsey. During The Buzz, Kris nominated Anthony Taberna, Darla Sauler and Vice Ganda to do the said challenge. Here’s is the video of Kris doing the challenge.

Meanwhile, in the Rated, Korina Sanchez also accepted the task of Ice Bucket Challenge given to her by the Mutya ng Masa Doris Bigornia. Korina challenged her co-anchors in TV Patrol namely Noli de Castro and Ted Failon, and also Vice Ganda. Here is Korina’s video with few introduction about the campaign with Doris’ video too.

The campaign requires the nominated person to accomplish the task within 24 hours or he/she must donate $100. Kris shared that most of the people who joined the campaign also donated cash to the foundation that will help them to do research on how to prevent and cure the said neurodegenerative disease.
