After the success of Corazon Ang Unang Aswang of Skylight Films in 2012 and Mariposa (Sa Hawla Ng Gabi) of Cinema One Originals, Erich Gonzales returns to the big screen with another challenging role under Star Cinema entitled Once A Princess. From being an alleged creature of darkness in the suspense trailer Corazon and a woman who wanted revenge for her sister in Mariposa, she will be playing the role of Erin Almeda a woman who turned her back from love for the sake of convenience and now facing the problem with her husband now the man she used to love is back.
Once A Princess marks the reunion of Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee after their last project Maria La Del Barrio in 2011. Aside from that they will be joined by JC de Vera who will be part of this dramatic film based from a Precious Hearts Romances novel with the same title. Unlike from the usual romantic comedy films that Erich did before she’s now taking another level in terms of characterization which we saw in in her character as Nene in Katorse. As Erin, she will be doing a more dramatic role not just focusing on the “kilig” with Enchong but also showing her acting on the bug screen as a woman who needs to find her way out from the wrong decision she made before which she thought it will help her in her life but in the end it was all nightmares.
Once A Princess is Erich second movie with Skylight Films that produced Corazon Ang Unang Aswang. The film was directed by Laurice Guillen and also stars Ian Veneracion, Angel Aquino, Bing Pimentel, Matt Evans and Nikki Valdes. It will be showing in cinemas nationwide starting August 6.
