From the return of hit Koreanovelas My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho and Meteor Garden early this year and now Lovers in Paris that will be airing on ABS-CBN’s morning timeslot beginning June 30, Kapamilya Network will be bringing back the funny and exciting love story of Jasmine and Julian (Joo Yoo-rin and Seol Gong-chan in Korean) played by Lee Da-hae and Lee Dong-wook. It aired on ABS-CBN from May 29, 2006 to August 18, 2006 and adapted for local version in 2008 with Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson and Enchong Dee.
My Girl follows the story of Jasmine a tour guide in Jeju Island burden with a father who is a gambling addict. She will do anything in order to earn for a living even it requires her to lie. She met Julian the sole heir of L’Avenue Hotel, one of the top hotels in Korea who in need of her service after being tasked by her grandfather to find her granddaughter, Julian’s cousin. Because Jasmine is badly in need for money she accepts Julian’s offer to act as the granddaughter given that she will earn monthly salary plus a bonus.
But instead it was a dying wish for Julian’s grandfather that will give him peace, Jasmine’s arrival in their family brought new strength and hope to the grandfather which it will be came another challenge that they will face. Required to live together as cousins, the love that grew between them cannot be stop. But how will they hide it specially that Nico, Julian’s cousin is there watching them and had developed feelings to Jasmine too and Annika, Julian’s ex-girlfriend returning for him hoping for reconciliation.
