From the success of Closer and Cock, Red Turnip Theater returns on their 2nd season with a family drama entitled Rabbit Hole which was written by David Lindsay-Abaire in 2005 and later year it became the recipient of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It was adapted to a film that stars Nicole Kidman, Aaron Eckhart, and Dianne Wiest in 2010. And this year running from all weekends of August starting August 1 at the Whitespace located at 2314 Chino Roces Ave. Extension (formerly Pasong Tamo Extension), Makati City, Red Turnip Theater’s brings back Agot Isidro on theater who will be playing the role of Becca in the story.
Agot who recently won best actress in the new wave category of the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for the film Mga Anino ng Kahapon where she played a mother who suffered with schizophrenia made her rightful to play the role in Rabbit Hole where as Becca she will endure pain and grief after the death of her 4 year old son and being accused by her husband trying to erase the memory of their deceased child. Agot will be joined by Michael William a multi-awarded and talented veteran stage actor and director who will be playing the role of Howie, Becca’s husband who is also facing depression and anger after the death of their child Danny.
For Agot it has been awhile since she performed in theater from Tanghalang Pilipino’s Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah, Atlantis Productions’ Baby The Musical and Trumpets’ Honk! But she did notable characters on TV and movies including g Tayong Dalawa, Lobo, One More Try, Ang Mumunting Lihim and Way Back Home.
Joining Agot and Michael are Che Ramos-Cosio, Sheila Francisco and Ross Pesigan. Meanwhile the Red Turnip Theater was established by 5 veteran stage actors namely Ana Abad Santos, Topper Fabregas, Jenny Jamora, Cris Villonco and Rem Zamora.
