From being one of the finalists under the team of rock icon Bamboo in The Voice of the Philippines, crooner Paolo Onesa continues his dream as a singer as he releases his album entitled Pop Goes Standard under MCA Music. Tagged as the ultimate heartthrob crooner, Paolo discovered his niche in jazz music with the help of Bamboo who saw his talent in The Voice and later enhanced it more to make him own that niche.
Included in his Pop Goes Standard album are When I Was Your Man, You Are So Beautiful, Make You Feel My Love, Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me) featuring Klarisse de Guzman, Marry Me, and You’re Beautiful.
The 20 year old crooner who was very overwhelmed after receiving compliment from another iconic Philippine crooner Richard Poon said that the feeling was great of getting that feedback from Richard during the MYX Music Awards 2014. Paolo also included in his album some songs he performed during his performance in The Voice of the Philippines including Skyfall and Elesi. He also include two original songs including Lucky In Love and Which Way Robert Frost? that was written by American composers Roxanne Seeman, Daniel Mitt and Philipp Steinke.
Paolo shared that he dreams of having collaboration of his idols including Richard Poon, Zia Quizon and KZ Tandingan. Meanwhile, aside from the album his followers can hear him twice a month in ABS-CBN’s ASAP 19.
