After the successful penetration in the smartphone market last 2013 with their back to back release of LG G2 and LG Nexus 5, LG Mobile unveils their latest smartphone this second quarter of 2014 which are the LG G Pro 2 and LG G2 Mini that will surely caters to the smartphone users in terms of size and features. The release of the latest devices of LG Mobile will answer the needs of smartphone users who wanted to have a phablet type of device and also for those who wanted something smaller but big in terms of features and usability. Let me discuss the two smartphones separately:

LG G Pro 2 – LG’s newest phablet device. The latest phablet device of LG was introduced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain. last February 2014. The LG G Pro 2 has a Full HD IPS display stretches 5.9 inches wide and is encased in narrow 3.3mm side bezels. It runs with Android 4.4.2 KitKat with industry-leading hardware 2.26GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 800 chipset with 3GB RAM that ensures seamless, smooth navigation and most of all it is perfect for heavy users like me. And with the 320 mAh removable battery it ensures longer standby time for both talk time and mobile internet connection.

Carrying the great features of the LG G2, the LG G Pro 2 sports improved OIS+ (Optical Image Stabilizer Plus) camera features which is 13 MP for still photos and 120 frames-per-second HD video recording, slow-motion playback with adjustable speed, 4K Ultra HD recording, Magic Focus, and Natural Flash. And with the bigger screen images can be fully enjoyed by the device owners and most of all it has a new 1 Watt Hi-Fi speaker which generates noticeably clear and amplified sounds, they get a superb multimedia experience.

Lastly it has an enhanced UX features in the LG G Series, the LG G Pro 2 comes equipped with the new Mini View, for those who choose to minimize their displays, and the Dual Browser, for those who want to have two apps visible on the screen at the same time.

LG G2 Mini – small is size big in features. Also introduced at the MWC 2014, the LG G2 Mini is a smaller version of LG G2 but it has the G2 features that everyone enjoys. It has a 4.7-inch qHD IPS display, with the innovative design heritage of the Rear Key and minimalist style first introduced in the LG G2.  Its Quad-Core CPU and Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS are complemented by a strong 2,440mAh removable battery for a prompt and efficient user experience.

Both LG G Pro 2 and LG G2 Mini have a Knock Code feature, it is a enhanced Knock On feature where it gives the device owner the chance to customized the tapping or knocking pattern on the display, which becomes their own personal code. With that feature it gives device owners a level security of their LG smartphone plus there’s up to 80,000 possible combinations and no fingerprint streaks.

Also the two devices are LTE enabled ensuring faster mobile internet connection. And being a user of the LG Nexus 5 is will be great to use it with SMART Sim for reliable mobile connection and other great features that everyone will surely enjoy. I hope it will be available on SMART Postpaid too.

Meanwhile the LG G Pro 2 will be available in the market with SRP of Php 32,990, while the small but powerful LG G2 Mini smartphone retails for Php 13,990. To know more about the product visit www.lg.com/ph.
