In line with the first preliminary investigation on the charges filed by both party on February 14, the comedian and TV host Vhong Navarro can now face the media after his two weeks recovery in hospital that include minor surgery. In his interview with Ted Failon in Failon Ngayon he admitted that he misses working in It’s Showtime and entertaining their audience. Vhong’s Failon Ngayon interview is one of his interviews right after his release from the hospital and after his filling charges against Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee.
Vhong narrated that he was set up by model Deniece for an extortion attempt led by businessman Cedric. He mentioned that he was attacked by at least six men in a condominium unit. In Taguig City where he met Deniece. Attackers were named as Zimmer Rance or Simeon Raz Junior, Ferdinand Guerrero, Jed Fernandez, JP Calma and Bernice Lee. The said incident happened last January 22.
He mentioned that he was forced to confess that he raped Deniece and later was brought in police to do a sworn statement but instead in Taguig he was brought in Paranaque.
In the preliminary investigation on the charges that will happened on Feb 14 will be about the charges filed by Cornejo which includes rape charges while Navarro filled serious physical injuries, grave threat, grave coercion, unlawful arrest, blackmail, and serious illegal detention, which is a non-bailable offense. He also said to Ted that what happened to him was a wake-up call pertaining to his loyalty with his girlfriend.
Meanwhile, in Buzz ng Bayan Vhong said sorry to his 5-year girlfriend that she met in her movie project with Tony Gonzaga in Star Cinema entitled Only U. He is thankful to his girlfriend for understanding him and giving him second chance along with her family. He also said sorry to his children and hoping they will not do the same. For those who don’t believe in him, Navarro doesn’t want to give message to them but he only said that he didn’t commit a crime.
Aside from the Feb 14 first preliminary investigation, A second hearing is scheduled on February 21.
