Starting Over Again marks the first ever tandem of Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga under Star Cinema and directed with Olivia Lamasan. This is the full team-up project of Toni and Piolo together after their Sprite commercial that happened in 2001. Together with Iza Calzado who was Piolo’s co-worker in his film Milan also directed by Direk Olive the film is more on a dramatic approach that tackles relationship, closure, and moving on.
Last February 7 at the Star Cinema conference room the movie had its blogger’s conference where the cast shared their views on the topic of giving second chances. For Piolo he mentioned that there will be second chance as long as the other person is free and not in a relationship. Meanwhile, for Iza she mentioned that she is open for second chances too especially if there’s a closure and they will patch things up. Starting Over Again follows the story of Ginny played by Toni who pursued his teacher Marco (Piolo). They waited until graduation to make things formal between the two of them unfortunately Ginny left Marco without any explanation. After few years she returned and having the chance to see Marco again to give a possible second chance for their love unfortunately the man she love is now in a relationship with her business partner named Patricia played by Iza.
Will Ginny take the risk once again to win Marco’s heart or did Marco closed it already since the night that Ginny left him?
