From being separated for more than four years, Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda will be working together once again in the latest hard-hitting talkshow of ABS-CBN entitled Aquino & Abunda Tonight starting February 10 on Primetime Bida. Aquino & Abunda Tonight will be airing after The Legal Wife every night Monday to Friday which the previous timeslot of the Showbiz News Ngayon in 2009 and 2010. This time, their show will only run for 15 minutes offering primetime viewers a daily dose of entertainment news and sharing their views.
Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda became co-workers in GMA 7’s Startalk in 1995 which lasted for more than a year when they finally decided to transfer to ABS-CBN. Kris left the show in 1996 and Boy followed after three years.
They became co-workers in The Buzz, a Sunday afternoon showbiz talkshow where their tandem in the show started in 2000 and lasted for 10 years. In the show, Kris didn’t complete her 10 years which she sometimes took a leave in the show which she substituted with fellow celebrities including Ruffa Guttierez, Toni Gonzaga, Gretchen Barretto and KC Concepction.
While The Buzz is airing with their tandem, they had their Boy & Kris morning show on ABS-CBN from 2007 to 2009. It is more of lifestyle magazine show with a touch of showbiz that was perfect to morning viewers. From the morning show they transferred to primetime with SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon from 2009 to 2010 giving up to date showbiz news which that time it was a pre-show of Bandila that only offers straight news without entertainment and showbiz reports.
With the return of the King and Queen of Philippine Talkshow for Aquino & Abunda Tonight, it will surely be a perfect night for primetime viewers having a 15 minute of showbiz news that they can easily digest as they finish their evening viewing on ABS-CBN.
