Daniel Padilla from romcom to action in Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at mga Anak

From the blockbuster success of Pagpag Siyam Na Buhay last Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) along the top-rating teleserye Got To Believe on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida, Teen King and showbiz royalty Daniel Padilla takes on a new kind of role which his father Rommel and uncle Robin were known for so long which is action genre. From the usual romantic comedy (romcom) projects that Daniel is doing in the Kapamilya network for both TV and film he will now be doing action role for the film Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at mga Anak which will be showing in cinemas nationwide starting January 29. Produced by Star Cinema and RCP Productions, Daniel Padilla will be joined by members of the Padilla family including Robin Padilla, Rommel Padilla, Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, Kylie Padilla, Bella Padilla, Matt Padilla, and RJ Padilla.

The film Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at mga Anak follows the true-life story of Ongkoy (Robin) who was once the leader of the infamous anti-vigilante group “Kuratong Baleleng” that gained notoriety in Ozamiz City during the 70s. In the film Daniel will be playing the role of Nato one of freedom fighters in the city. The film will be showing the young actor who will be doing action stunts not to mention will be carrying and shooting guns against his opponents in the story.

Daniel mentioned that one of his unforgettable scenes in Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at mga Anak was during the explosion part where explosives were placed in his body and he was lifted. According to Daniel he didn’t know that it will really explode that way and he is proud that he only did it with one shoot. He explained that his father Rommel and Uncle Robin were there to mentor him along with the rest of new generation of the Padilla. In the recent blog conference of Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at mga Anak, Robin shared that he is proud with Daniel for carrying the name of the Padillas back in the entertainment industry and the overwhelming support that his fans are giving to him. Robin believes that Daniel will become bigger star in the future.

Sa Ngalan Ng Ama, Ina, At Mga Anak is directed by Jon Villarin and it also stars Christopher De Leon, Dina Bonnevie, Rommel Padilla, Karla Estrada, Pen Medina, Lito Pimentel, Dennis Padilla, Aljur Abrenica, and Bugoy Carino among many others. Sa Ngalan Ng Ama, Ina, At Mga Anak shows in cinemas nationwide starting January 29. The film is part of Star Cinema’s on-going 20th anniversary celebration.
