Happening today at the Meralco Theater is the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival Awards Night where as the 2013 MMFF Committee gives recognitions to the men and women who became part of this year’s festival from main stream film entries, indie or new wave films, animation and student short film. The MMFF 2013 Awards night is hosted by KC Concepcion and Kris Aquino and witnessed by the members of the entertainment media and nominees in all categories.
Meanwhile, the MMDA announced that there were 12% growth in the earnings of MMFF compare last year and they were hoping that it will be break the record as the run of all the films will end until second week of January 2014. Films included at the main stream entries are 10,000 Hours, Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story, Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy, Kaleidoscope World, Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel, My Little Bossings, Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay, and Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir. And for new wave categories entries were Saka Saka, Anino ng mga Kahapon, Island Dreams, Dukit and Maestra.
