LG Philippines supports ABS-CBN’s Sagip Kapamilya in reaching out Yolanda affected families

From the devastation that the Eastern Visayas encountered last November of this year due to the Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), LG Philippines joined the efforts of ABS-CBN’s Sagip Kapamilya under the campaign Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na to reach to the survivors of the said calamity. Badly affected areas in the Eastern Visayas region include Tacloban, Samar, Leyte, Iloilo, and Northern Cebu.

At the Metro Society 10: The Charity and Thanksgiving Event last December 1 at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resorts in Pasay City, LG Philippines became a partner to this charity inclined fashion show that showcases all the beautiful creations of top Filipino fashion designers. Not only that LG Philippines let the event used that state of the art and first ever OLED Curved Flat Screen television that will show the full details of the creation of all the designers they also give their pledge to the Sagip Kapamilya which is the beneficiaries of the said event. They donated Php 400, 000 to Sagip Kapamilya where it was received by the Miss World 2013 Maegan Young who was also doing her part for the relief efforts for Yolanda survivors.

Aside from the cash donations, LG also works on the installation of solar panels that will be a big help in providing electricity in communities until the power is fully restored. LG Philippines continues to give support through this kind of infrastructure along with the selfless love of their employees and management in taking part of the relief efforts and fund raising to the survivors of the recent Typhoon Yolanda.
