10, 000 Hours big winner at the 2013 MMFF; Maricel Soriano and Robin Padilla win Best Actress and Best Actor

It was a successful 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) where as the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that the first two days of showing the entries became a record breaker because of the high turn outs. And now the men and women in front and behind the camera received their recognition during the Awards Night lead by Maricel Soriano who won Best Actress for Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy followed by Robin Padilla for Best Actor in the film 10, 000 Hours. The Best Picture for the 2013 is 10, 000 Hours and followed by runner ups Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy and My Little Bossings.

Best Director was awarded to Bb. Joyce Bernal for 10, 000 Hours, while Best Supporting Awards were given to Aiza Seguerra for the film My Little Bossings and Pen Medina for the film 10, 000 Hours. Ryzza Mae Dizon received Best Child Performer for the film My Little Bossings.

10, 000 Hours of Robin Padilla became the big winner during the awards night where it took home Best Sound, Best Score, Best Visual Effects, Best Production Design, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Original Story, Fernando Poe Jr Memorial Award for Excellence and Gatpuno Antonio Villegas Cultural Award aside from the Best Director, Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. Complete film entries included at the 2013 MMFF are 10,000 Hours, Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story, Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy, Kaleidoscope World, Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel, My Little Bossings, Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay, and Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir.

Meanwhile in the New Wave Category Dukit secured the Best Actor Award with Wilfredo Layug, Bambalito Lacap, and Bor Ocampo along with Best Picture and Best Director while Agot Isidro received the award for Best Actress in New Wave Category for the film Mga Anino ng Kapahon. Complete New Wave entries include Saka Saka, Anino ng mga Kahapon, Island Dreams, Dukit and Maestra. The 39th Metro Manila Film Festival was hosted by KC Concepcion and Kris Aquino at the Meralco Theater at the evening of December 27.
