After the successful pilot week of Honesto where the first few days garnered high TV ratings natiwonwide based from Kantar Media, the show ended the week with a trending and tear jerking episode. Last Friday, Honesto trended on Twitter because of the heartbreaking scene where Honesto or Raikku Mateo cried which gain reactions from the netizens. The innocent looking Honesto in the show was asked by the character of Janice de Belen to stay on their space in the market to talk to a client who rejected their deal. Meanwhile, there’s a lady to buy carrots from Honesto and gave huge amount.
Being raised with honesty and good character, Honesto followed the lady to return her change. Returning to their area without Honesto, Janice panicked and look for the child. She became paranoid and shouted at Honesto but the lady defended him and explained what happened. At the end Honesto cried and Janice embraced him.
With the scene, positive reactions were posted on Twitter that led to the trending of the show. Honesto is the latest teleserye of ABS-CBN that airs after TV Patrol and following the footsteps of May Bukas Pa and 100 Days to Heaven.
