Following the first teaser that was released a week ago, ABS-CBN unveils the second teaser of Maria Mercedes having the scenes from the original actress that played the role – the Mexican Superstar Thalia in 1996 and now Jessy Mendiola as the Pinay Maria Mercedes. The second teaser offers more details of what viewers should expect on the Philippine adaptation of the hit Mexican telenovela that we Filipinos enjoyed watching in the afternoon in the 90s.
The teaser shows the connection of the original and the remake and that is how Maria Mercedes is a very hardworking person in order to raise money for a living for her and her family. That’s why it is easy for the Filipinos to embrace the character and the show because of the family centered story that is very close to our heart.
The Maria Mercedes remake is part of the 60 Years offering of ABS-CBN and joining Jessy are Jake Cuenca, Jason Abalos, Nadya Montenegro, Vina Morales, Vivian Velez, Dominic Ochoa, Yogo Singj and Devon Seron under the direction of Chito Roño. It will be airing soon on ABS-CBN.
