After the back to back project of DingDong Dantes with Star Cinema during two Metro Manila Film Festivals (MMFF) where he won Best Actor Award for Segunda Mano (2011) and One More Try (2012), it is Marian Rivera’s turn to experience how production team works. During the bloggers conference of Kung Fu Divas where Marian is one of the lead stars together with Ai Ai delas Alas, Edward Mendez and Roderick Paulate, she mentioned that she enjoyed how Star Cinema works in terms of promotion for the movie which she is also a co-producer along with Ai Ai and Reality Entertainment.

Marian Rivera mentioned that it was a big opportunity for her coming from a rival TV station (GMA 7) to work with Star Cinema. She’s very happy to experience what DingDong enjoyed during the time he work with Star Cinema for his projects. According to her it breaks the wall on being rival networks and created good collaborations in bringing great films for the movie goers to enjoy. She also affirms that there might be competitions in terms of soap operas but with this kind of opportunity it gives everyone the chance to unite and create good projects.

She was amazed when the promo plan was presented to her and she commended the promo team of Star Cinema for doing it on her first venture with them together with Reality Entertainment and Ai Ai. She’s looking forward to work again with Star Cinema through Regal Films, and also with fellow Kapuso stars with Star Cinema and vice versa. Meanwhile, Kung Fu Divas follows the story of two aspiring beauty queens who became kung fu warriors in order to protect a community from an evil person played by Paulate. With the help of the character played by Mendez they will become Kung Fu Divas and  must need to work together in order to fulfill their task.

Kung Fu Divas is directed by Onat Diaz and part of the 20th Anniversary offering of Star Cinema which will be showing in all cinemas by October 2.
