The Battle round continues in The Voice of the Philippines and joining those who will be moving to the next round are Maki Ricafort, Jessica Reynoso, Talia Reyes and RJ. It was great battle of vocal power and flexibility that amazes the weekly viewers of the show together with the coach-judges Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, Apl de Ap and Bamboo and hosted by Toni Gonzaga with Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo.

The first showdown came from the Team of Sarah where Maki Ricafort and Hans Dimayuga need to perform Lemar’s What About Love. Sarah had a hard time in selecting on the contestant who will be joining her on the next round and finally she decided it will be Maki. Next was from Apl’s Team where Emman Vera and Jessica Reynoso needed to outplay one another with the song of Pink entitled Give Me A Reason. Apl selected Jessica on this round.

In the Team of Bamboo Denise Sagun and Talia Reyes, both singer performed Under the Bridge of Red Hot Chilli Pepper and made popular by All Saints. Talia was the singer whom Bamboo will be taking on the next level. Lastly in the three way battle of RJ Dela Fuente, Rainier Acosta and Juvie Pelos of Team Lea, they were not familiar with the song of Marvin Gaye entitled What’s Goin On but they did it great on the actual performance. But despite their hardship Lea needed to drop two and selected RJ to bring on the next level.

The Battle Round continues next week until each coach has their remaining 6 contenders in each team. The Voice of the Philippines airs on ABS-CBN every Saturday after Maalaala Mo Kaya and Sundays after Rated K. Visit their website thevoice.abs-cbn.com for more updates.
