It is once in a lifetime opportunity to see two of the best rock icons in their generations together The Big Dome (SMART Araneta Coliseum) on August 17 for a concert that it was the fans who decided to make it happen. I am referring to the BY Request Concert of one of the icons of the Philippines Bamboo and the Pop Rock Princess Yeng Constantino. Being a huge fan of the two rock icons it is great to see Bamboo who was favorite vocalist of Rivermaya until he decided to go solo and still having that unique and soulful music that really captures his audience. Meanwhile, Yeng whom I followed her journey as one of the aspiring Pinoy Dream Academy contestants and was touched with her Hawak Kamay and Salamat songs and inspired everyone on never giving up with their dreams.
Being both mainstays of ASAP 18 where everyone saw their individual performance, the neitizens and supporters of the two artists thought on pushing them to have a concert together. There BY Request materializes with the help of ABS-CBN, Cornerstone, ASAP and all the supporters and sponsors of Bamboo and Yeng. The BY Request Concert of Bamboo and Yeng Constantino will surely showcase the musicality of both artists and how they will blend it together where their supporters will never forget. I am very excited to hear and see how Bamboo with his very soulful music blends with the upbeat pop rock of Yeng and vice versa.
